Preparing for your Ski Holiday

Ski Holiday Equipment

An exciting aspect of any holiday is preparing to go away and a ski holiday is absolutely no exception - in fact quite the opposite, there is much more to get excited about.

If you are planning your first ski holiday or a learn to ski holiday then doubtless you have quite a shopping list - it sure makes sense to borrow what you can, I say this because quality really does count with ski gear.

It is much better to buy one top end item such as a jacket and blag other people's cast offs for the rest. If it gets cold then you'll feel it!!

Emergency stuff can be bought at the resort although it tends to be more expensive - however for small items it doesn't matter so much. So I never bought a face mask until one year when I really needed it, so I got one in the ski resort where I was ... more expensive yes, but for years I hadn't needed one and thus not bought one way back - to my logic this is a saving. The same went for ski goggles, one year it was really snowy so I bought some and great they were fab, but the point was I'd never needed them before so I hadn't had to carry them around for years without using them!!

Eddie the Eagle Edwards was Britain's most famous skier I guess, still remembered for his ski jump antics in 1988 ... but many more of us Brits follow in his tradition, old hands and some newbies take to the slopes every year - good luck to all.
