Naming your dog can be as conplicated and hard a task as naming a baby! Really, it's true - names seem to carry so much weight forward into life.
Kids seem to be able to name dogs intuitively though, they just take a look at the puppy and there it is: a dog name right out of the air, sometimes an obvious one like spot or paws - sometimes a characteristic one such as Winston for a Bulldog.
When you have lots of dogs some owners try to create a semblance of order and will often call dogs of each generation or year after a letter of the alphabet, using the letters successively - I always think this means you get to struggle around the X, Y and Z's!
