
The Black Headed Siskin is a native of South America and can be found from Brazil to Argentina and Chile.
The nest is built between the angle formed by a small branch and the bole of a tree, and while engaged in nesst building the birds sing a constant soft trilling note.
The Black Headed Siskin lays five eggs at a time, which are white and very small, teh female does the incubating and the male waits on a branch nearby.
